SALOLEA x WYDF World Youth Design Festival Seventy-seven years have passed since the inception of the Edinburgh Festival in 1947. The World Youth Designer Forum (WYDF) has become an accelerator and incubator for the growth of young designers worldwide. In 2024, officially under the esteemed name of the "WYDF World Youth Design Festival," it empowers young designers to observe and interpret the world with fresh perspectives, reinforcing their role as the backbone of the future design world and showcasing the diverse facets and contemporary spirit of global youth design. SALOLEA fully empowers and joins hands with the WYDF World Youth Design Festival to co-create a magnificent chapter, building a platform for exchange that gathers thought, creativity, exploration, and design for young designers to gallop freely upon.

The "WYDF World Youth Design Festival" will be divided according to four global regions with the most dynamic populations and economic consumption: Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. Each year, one most outstanding young designer from one region will be selected as the "WYDF World Youth Design Festival · Regional Honoree of the Year." They will be invited to attend the WYDF World Youth Design Festival Annual Gala held during Guangzhou Design Week to deliver speeches, participate in media interviews, and engage in youth discourse. Furthermore, the "WYDF World Youth Design Festival" will accept entries for architectural and interior design projects from young global designers. The WYDF jury will select the Annual Design Excellence works, which will be featured in media across various global regions. Award ceremonies and exchange events will be held annually in different countries within these regions.
